Top row- Grandpa Thompson, the "Cow Librarian", "Miss "Kitty", Grandma Thompson, staff member, and the view off the front porch of the old farm house, to the south. Bottom row- "Old Homestead and" "The other Cow Library" barn. Grandpa moved into the area shortly agter the Long in the rock gang splitup. However no one atually knows are he came from and when he settled in to the valley, south of St George, Utah. The year Grandma "Miss Kitty" got married and started to raise a family. The rest is history and story.

They are out there, just open your eyes, or rather close them to see thompsonville anytime you are not driving between the wheel or operating heavy machinery. Cousin Hot Rod Thompson, out for a Test Drive with a dog salesman from Thompson Motors who becomes blue with envy when He finds out the price of the new model. Cousin Hot Rod is known for his stable of fancy cars, but the price of this new car is more than he can afford. He usually has 2 or 3 police cars in hot pursuit. Grandpa Thompson, or William bonner Thompson origainally moved into the area when the whole-in-the Rock gang settled in the Valley where Thompsonville is today. Local history books have little mention of this Fact. Grandpa would settle there and later marry Miss Kitty Smith-and Jones, And raise a son, they would later nick-name Panama that would become the River Boat Gambler on the Virigin River and own his own Sailing boaton the river, that would run from Hurricane to Thompsonville, Utah. Oh yes did I forget to mention that Thompsonville iwas near the path of the Virigin River, or it was at that time 1876 A.D. To hide his real calling of cattle rustler, he went by the Title of Cow Lib
The folks in Big Cottonwood canyon alone would make a good Read. People from all a cross the country to some local folk who kicked up their heels just a few miles from home. Some real interesting people you would not know were so close at hand. Stay tuned.

Pull off the road and wait between 1/2 an hour to 1 hours, and rest your eyes............Soon you may see a small town's lights apprear on the horizon.........Could be Thompsonville, Utah if you are lucky!
What started out as a drawing of a decessed, pet Basset Hound, to a Woodcut-RUBY a class project, to become "Skippy the dog" and a member of the Thompson clan, to a family member and tobecome eventually an entire town called, Thompsonville, Utah. A town that is hard to find and few have seen in real life. It is best found if you are a believer, to find the place. Once found, it is hard to leave.
